TINYpulse: powerful employee retention tool

TINYpulse is a powerful tool for any sized business

When you hear about innovative ways to improve your company’s culture, what do you usually read? Mostly blathering talking points about rewarding employees with perks instead of cash, or asking them more relevant questions on their annual reviews, or hosting stand-up meetings instead of sit-down meetings. Yawn.

But when we met the folks behind TINYpulse, we perked up with their simple concept was explained. We had a “duh” moment as they explained their feedback loop wherein employees are emailed a simple question every week, and their anonymous answers determine the happiness levels of employees and pinpoint frustrations team members are experiencing. Both positive and negative questions are asked of everyone under the shield of anonymity, giving employees a safe haven for feedback. Duh!

The company offers a two week free trial and say that the tool is effective in companies as small as five team members, which previously was unheard of.


So why the enthusiasm behind TINYpulse?

The company’s attitude toward solving such a complex problem so simply is refreshing. Additionally, their approach challenges companies to shake their business up.

Site visitors are greeted with big letters that say “Don’t try TINYpulse unless…” you’re a leader committed to change, sharing, and action.

Easy to scan graphs are presented based on employee input, and no complex data sets in 80s style spreadsheets are forced down busy business decision makers’ throats.

Another innovative feature is the “Cheers for Peers™ and Virtual Suggestions” which shows employers which employees are receiving recognition on a weekly basis, giving insight into team members’ attitudes toward other employees rather than keeping blinders on and only focusing on the company as a whole or the big boss, helping the feedback loop to be more complete, rather than an outlet for complaining.
