With the advent of smartphone technology, the use of speech recognition software is rapidly increasing as users speak commands to their devices more frequently. Initially, the technology was clunky and didn’t transcribe properly, but in 2011, the technology has come a long way and users are speaking Google searches on their phone or asking their device for driving directions.
Sometimes we take technologies for granted, however, without really understanding them. Below is an infographic that simplifies the technology that is so easy to overlook, yet we are all using with more frequency now than ever.
