We repeat – coolest gadget ever!
We would be shocked if you weren’t tempted to reserve a Swivl after watching the demo video above- it’s perfect for anyone looking to get into or improve their video blogging, interviews, product demonstrations and more.
All you do is snap a smartphone or thin camera into the device, hold the marker (we would probably put it in a shirt pocket), begin recording and the Swivl will follow you anywhere as demonstrated above. Sometimes video is best done hands-free, looks more natural and is innovative, to boot. We like this product because let’s face it, not everyone is confident enough to film in front of anyone, so this is a great way to stay in the shot without the awkwardness of someone filming you.
TechCrunch tells Swivl’s story from a klunky prototype to their newly launched product set at a reasonable $159.99. They are taking reservations for their 2012 release, and we’re betting that a lot of our audience will make the leap and get in on this gadget.

Looks pretty cool, but a couple of questions.
If you're trying to walk from one room to another, seems like it won't work, right?
Also, what kind of surface does it need to be set on to swivel?
