The future of computing
The world gets caught up in the complexities of smartphones, tablets, augmented reality, scan technologies and the like, so it is nice to see Microsoft go back to the drawing board on an existing technology that so many people have opted to simply give up on or ignore.
At AGBeat, we all use laptops of various types, and we mostly rely on the on-board touchpad which has become something we’ve simply resigned ourselves to. Some of us carry a trackball mouse, while others begrudge the sticky pad.
The video above outlines Microsoft’s Arc Touch Mouse which we are impressed by because it works on concrete, on wood, on glass, and on cloth and its flexible structure makes it completely portable. Awesome.
The Arc Touch Mouse is available on Amazon for under $40, and we anticipate this back-to-basics approach will be popular with those choosing not to join the growing population of tablet users.

Meh. I love AG but I think AG should stop calling the future of "whatever" with products that are rather dubious.
The Arc Touch Mouse is more of an evolution of the Arc Mouse that came out in 2008. It's a nice novelty mouse but not going to be a replacement mouse for power users.
Tech reviews have been less than stellar for a few reasons. Among them being tiny contact areas that make mouse movements less than smooth.
