With the rise of video marketing and basic videography tools now built in to every smartphone, the world of video is rapidly changing, but even 190 years after the invention of the chronograph, the idea of beauty remains and is being celebrated by the Beauty of a Second contest.
We’ve long written about the need for quality video, but Mont Blanc emphasizes quality not of film or tools or videography skills, rather celebrates the beauty in every day life captured with any video device.
The challenge to videographers or even video fanatics is to literally seize the moment and capture one second of any subject – it “can be anything you consider beautiful: a smile, a child’s face, a flower, a piece of the world around you, as long as the video lasts only one second.”
