Which of your Facebook posts is pissing people off the most? [Study]

Everyone’s annoyed by something, you guys

There once was a time where Facebook’s sole purpose was for college students to plan out what they were doing this coming weekend. While that aspect of the social media powerhouse has not subsided, its purpose has grown over the last (almost) decade.

Facebook almost became a bandwagon of sorts as different demographics flocked to start a profile. Now the aforementioned college students cannot post a photo from their weekend out without aunt Sue commenting that they should dress a little more tactfully.

Most annoying people, by state

However, a recent survey conducted by SocialTimes found the five most annoying Facebook posts, as broken down by state. The study surveyed over 10,000 social media users to see which post was most annoying in their state.

The posts were broken down into personal problems, political posts, selfies, baby pictures, and food pictures. Now, if I were a one-woman state, it would be difficult to choose which is the most annoying.

Your personal problems

Personal problems include airing of dirty laundry, leaving vague status updates to instigate concern, and basically anything construed as annoying or negative. The states that have had enough of these issues are: Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Texas, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

Political rants

Political posts are notorious for starting cyber drama. People often post their two cents and blame the opposition. Or, articles are shared with no care over the source which leads to craziness in the comments section. The states that are over posts on the political spectrum are: Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Nevada, and Colorado.

#Selfies

Selfies – pretty self-explanatory. It is almost impossible to scroll through your timeline without seeing a number of selfies. The states that are tired of looking at them are: Washington, Utah, New Mexico, Louisiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina.

Your kid

We all have that one friend who, instead of buying a baby book, assumes that we want to be part of every moment in their child’s life. The states that are done with seeing baby pictures on their news feed are: New Hampshire, Connecticut, Delaware, Oregon, South Dakota, and New Jersey.

Your stupid food

Anytime someone has a delicious meal, they suddenly become an amateur photographer. The states that have had it with looking at your foodie photos are: Hawaii, West Virginia, Illinois, Missouri, Florida, Arizona, and Nebraska.
