Here at AG, we’ve written quite a bit on commercial real estate spaces being repurposed and about creative uses of spaces, but even we are guilty of not focusing enough on urban sustainability.
To help get the ball rolling, we invite you to get involved, starting with the live online event on July 15th hosted on WhiteHouse.gove to discuss and answer any questions you might have about sustainable communities and how they can be strengthened.
Through tomorrow morning, anyone can submit questions and vote on existing questions already posted. The event will attempt to answer the top ten questions at 2pm EST.
Questions will be answered in real time by:
- Shelly Poticha, Director for the Office of Sustainable Housing at HUD
- Beth Osborne, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy at DOT
- Tim Torma, Deputy Director of the Office of Sustainable Communities at the EPA
- Moderated by Derek Douglas, Special Assistant to the President on Urban Policy at the White House
The panel will focus on helping HUD, the EPA, the DOT and other government organizations to help improve affordable housing access, transportation options and environmental protections.
Right now, we encourage you to go vote now on which questions to be asked (or submit your own) and tune in on July 15th at 2pm EST to WhiteHouse.gov/Live.
We intend on taking part, who’s with us?
