Back in the day when BASHH was a bit smaller, we experimented to see how attendance levels would change based on location (an experiment that we took on for over a year). We learned that those of us that live up north loved it but those that live south were none too pleased (although they came anyhow).
In August 2009, we gathered in north Austin at the Iron Cactus who decided to have a live band which was a nice surprise (although we couldn’t hear each other), and the lead guy was pretty good. We learned that he was on Twitter, so we forced him to wear a nametag too. It was all in good fun. The Iron Cactus begged us to come back again (and who knows, maybe some day we will))!
