Makin’ it big time!
To date, March 2010 has been our biggest event and was even named a “SXSWi Party You Can’t Miss” by ZDNet as soon as we put out the invitation. Although not an official SXSW party, we began the tradition of kicking off what we call “Tech Week” in Austin with dozens of conferences around town, all focused on Tech (which is the origin of BASHH culture).
The most fun was all of the celebrity types that showed up, and in true Austin fashion, everyone acted like they didn’t know who they were (even a certain MTV reporter that startstruck a few, and a Times editor that freaked the journalists out). BASHH hint: if someone famous shows up, just drink a beer and introduce yourself like anyone else, we’re all people- THAT is what’s great about BASHH!
[box icon=”exclamation”]By the end of the night, there were 900 documented attendees that signed in given that it was open to everyone, even non-badge holders. The venue’s estimated headcount was closer to 1,200 (we shut down the sign in table by 9).[/box]

The party was so friggen big that we had a photo booth on either end of the venue. In the country store in the back of Frank, Korey Howell memorialized the fun with photobooth strip style photos:
