BumpTop acquired
Today, BumpTop announced they have been acquired by Google and according to IntoMobile, “it may be added in to future Android or Chrome tablet devices – with dashes of multi-touch goodness added throughout the UI. The implications here are intriguing, to say the least.”
The BoyGeniusReport reflects IntoMobile’s sentiment, adding, “of course, there’s the fantastic multitouch implementation BumpTop has integrated into their UI and it’s pretty impressive.”
In a letter to paid account holders of BumpTop, they are thanked for their purchase, noting their product will no longer be available for sale, nor will updates be made. BumpTop assures Pro users that their current version will run indefinitely but offers all users a refund if they choose to partake.
Impact on real estate
Recently, we polled AG readers to see what cell phones readers are using and a surprising number are moving toward Android. Perhaps innovation like a third dimension will bring more real estate professionals to the Andriod as they realize they are no longer married to the Palm Treo or other MLS-dependent phones.
