2013 gift giving – get creative!
Let’s face it – if you’re shopping for the holidays, you’ve seen the top ten lists, and you know that you’re supposed to buy your loved one something from Apple or they’ll hate you forever, but what about the other gifts you want to buy?
What about the other recipients in your life that you would never spend $800 dollars on? What about the person who has everything?
Where can you find unique gifts and where can you get creative? Quit trolling the top ten lists, because the person you’re shopping for probably already has or is about to receive said “number one present,” so let’s talk about where to shop that your loved one isn’t shopping.

No hunting and pecking, just interesting gifts that will delight those that are hard to shop for. But if you get offended, skip this one, because their descriptions of useful products are pretty racy.
2. Ballers on a budget
Pardon our French, but ShitYouCanAfford.com is hilarious – they hand pick creative gifts from Amazon for under $20, showcasing new products every week. Note: as of publication, the website was down, and they say they are working on it, so check back again soon if you cannot access the site – it’s worth it, we promise. We might have blown a bit of time clicking around the site earlier today. Maybe.
3. Nothing. Seriously.
Everyone knows someone who has everything and cannot control their impulse to buy everything they want as they see it, leaving nothing for you to buy them. If you’re rude and want to mock them, buying them “nothing” is one way to get them back for being so hard to shop for.
4. Classy gifts
Red Envelope has long been our secret weapon for last minute gifts – they’re unique, creative, and classy. You do want people to think you’re classy, right?

We love The Grommet and have said many times that their daily emailer is one of the few we actually look at every day. The site features unique products, the story of the artisans behind them, and even offers video demonstrations of many of the products. We love, love, love this site.

ThinkGeek is the answer for the geek in your life. Period. Want a bust of Ron Swanson, Tardis slippers, a lite up Iron Man arc coaster, Tesla experiment kits, Star Trek family decals for the car? This is the destination for geeky stuff.
