Welcome to the smart fridge
I don’t think it’s asking too much to have someone close by who; even if they won’t cook for me; can at least advise on what groceries to buy based on my budget, my diet and my likes and dislikes.
Until that happens I’ll content myself with the eGrocer app which is currently in Beta and soon to explode upon an unsuspecting and hungry public.
One stop health app shop
In layman’s terms eGrocer is an app that lets you cook, stay fit and keep the kitchen clean. It’s almost like having my mother-in-law around (except without the constant whining of why I married her daughter).
But I digress.
By it’s own accord, eGrocer is a cooking app that “keeps you fit by suggesting recipes in accordance with your BMR, a targeted body weight that you want to cut down to or maintain, your recommended calorie intake & nutritional value, your preferences (veg/non-veg/allergens), choice of cuisine and the items you have in your pantry.”
All about you
The recipes (which, by the way, will soon be more than 10,000) are generated in light of your budget for cooking and you can further use this budget to make entire meal plans from within the app. But that’s not it, the app also lets you manage your pantry by remembering what items were used up, and maintain a list of items you need to buy from stores present in your location.
Good help is hard to find
eGrocer is your smart kitchen companion. It lets you manage your pantry efficiently, make grocery lists and also helps you use leftovers to prevent food losses. It directs you to shop from stores in your location and cook within a budget!
Go to eGrocer.us and sign up for early access. It could be the start of a whole new and healthier you!
