Back from Phoenix

Share

july 2009 010Just spent a week in Phoenix where I attended the National Speakers Association’s Convention. This is the first time I was able to attend and it was a lovely 115 degrees in Phoenix. Besides running into lots of speakers we all know and love I was able to hear some incredible talent.

Most notable was Stephen Spangler a science teacher who teaches interactivity with students. His videos on Youtube were found by Ellen DeGeneres and he has been on her show 8 times. Check out his videos here.

The most emotional was when Nando Parrado told his heroic true story about surviving the 1972 plane crash in the Andes with his fellow Uruguayan Rugby teammates. They survived 72 days. He painted an amazing picture of what the human spirit can survive. Everyone around me was texting their loved ones telling they loved them. He reminded us of what is important.

At this convention I actually took notes, learned lots of great things. The best were the two classes I took on video. Look for some great new posts on Skype, setting up a set for video blogging and cool software to make your life easier.

So this is my excuse for where I have been the last two weeks. See you next time with great video thoughts and the final solution for Tina on her Contact Management program search.
