The Inman Innovator Awards recognize companies that use technology and innovation to enhance the real estate transaction and experience for consumers and real estate professionals. Benn and Lani Rosales received the award to thunderous applause (I didn’t even go to San Fran and heard it all the way back here in Atlanta – thanks Tara for the phone call). AG had stiff competition in the blog category and much respect is due to 1000Watt Blog, Big Picture Blog, FBS Blog, and Homegain Real Estate Blog.
Agent Genius has made the real estate industry better by bringing together a group of writers with diverse backgrounds and hosting a conversation with a national audience of readers. None of the writers are paid and the site itself was started without any seed money or corporate dollars to support the launch. It is refreshing to see the real estate industry embrace new ideas and Inman has done a good thing by casting a spotlight on Agent Genius. Agent Genius hosts open discussions about new technologies, methods of doing business, the nature of the industry and other real estate topics that impact consumers and agents every day (sometimes several different conversations per day).
Innovative Indeed
It is about time the real estate industry started having more conversations and less presentations. Congrats to Agent Genius founders Benn and Lani, and of course all the fantastic writers, commenters, and readers!
