The Plan
About this time of year, I have to remind myself that I had spent a lot of time creating a plan. I made a schedule – and oh, yeah, I’m supposed to be following it.
The First Fail
One of my favorite things is to send cards to my clients. My favorite is calling and singing happy birthday to them – embarrassing myself with my horrid singing and them with my horrid singing.
How do I know their birthdays? I ask. (Thanks DocStoc.)
But the first thing to go when I get busy – or distracted – is sending cards.
The Fix
At the last minute, I ran over to Hallmark.com to send an ecard. Ta-da! They have a new feature – a very cool feature. One I’ve been hoping they’d figure out: Personalized cards! Really personalized – as in you can change the front, inside and back covers. Ever try to find a Happy House Anniversary card?
The Cure
Not only can you make a totally personalized, professional card – Hallmark will address, stamp and mail it for you too and on your schedule. You can create it today and send it next month. So when I have time I create a bunch of cards, schedule them for a later time and back to the schedule. Well, that’s the idea anyway.
