When you’re starting up a business, every penny you save can help. Yet to get your business rolling, you’ll need countless costly items for marketing, like brochures and business cards. If you can’t afford to pay a graphic designer, check out TemplateShock. The website, promising that “freebies don’t suck,” provides over 600 un-sucky, free, downloadable templates for your graphic, print, and web design needs.
TemplateShock lists dozens and dozens of templates for common marketing items, such as logos, posters, and business cards. Yet it also includes templates for the paper items you need within the business, such as proposals, letters, quotations and invoices. There are even templates for more complicated items like menus and tri-folded brochures.
All documents can be customized with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
The templates are professional and diverse, including classic themes as well as more colorful, creative designs. Some of the templates are designated by design features such as color and style, while others are sorted by the type of business. The website is very user friendly, providing multiple sample pictures for each template, so that you can get a good sense of how your product will end up before you download it.
Most of the designs are completely free, though you can also pay extra to get a commercial license if you wish to copyright your logo. Templates can be downloaded individually, or you can get entire “packs” of all of the templates within a category. The parent site, Designshock.com, provides even more downloadable images for print and html-coded buttons, pictures, and widgets for your website.
