Yo, these are fake placeholder people for now – we’ll have actual people LIKE YOU in these spots asap, hang tight.
Sessions will be divided into three
DISCOVER // DEVELOP // DEPLOY
- DISCOVER: Job hunters, learn what resources can put you at the head of the line
- DEVELOP: Grow your leadership skills and learn how to negotiate like a shark
- DEPLOY: Climb the ladder, nail your annual review, and improve your salary
Online speakers will cover topics like:
- Online job search strategies

- Masters of the winding career paths

Proposal
Session hosts are expected to present useful and practical information and focus on solutions (not problems) with key takeaways for how the strategies can be replicated. Lessons learned, challenges addressed, and useful tools are also valued. Any session featuring promotional material will not see the light of day (speaker headshots and bios will be prominently featured).
Please note that session topics must be submitted by April 12, and accepted proposals must be filmed and submitted by April 17. That’s a fast turnaround, we know, but we’re seeking to truly help as many people as possible.
This is not a paid speaking engagement, but you will be given proper assets for social media promotion, and your bio will be posted prominently on the session page, and also our eternal gratitude (seriously).

Session hosting
All content must be “exclusive” to this summit, meaning that the video has not appeared elsewhere and is dedicated specifically to this event.
We’re seeking hosts that will film a 15 minute session on their approved topic of their choosing. You don’t need a professional film crew, but let’s try to be as polished as we possibly can (no bow ties required, though, calm down).
We’re providing a platform so you can reach out and help candidates as they navigate the alphabet soup that is employment. From awesome interview skills to zigzagging up the corporate ladder, we need your help in giving our audience the very best from the very brightest (you)!
The tone is that of a mentor – not condescending, and not sappy cheerleading. Informative but direct, kind, and human. That’s our sweet spot. And it’s what people need right now.
Dress in whatever represents you – most of us here are t-shirt and jeans types, so wear what you’re comfortable in.
Tips for recording video from home:
- Light is your friend! No circle vanity lights? Play around with lamps and other lighting
- Don’t run the washer or dryer or other appliances that have buzzers or bells
- Try not to have your ceiling fan on, especially if it’s in the camera view as it is distracting
- What other weird noises does your home make?
- Warn and banish the partner, kids, and any furry friends while recording
- Write a script and structure: Introduce yourself at the beginning (title and company), and craft a closing
- Do a dress rehearsal recording: How do you look? You might need to lift your camera, add lights, or tidy up in the background. Check your pacing – did you have to rush to fit into a 15 minute session? Trim it back
- If you post on YouTube or elsewhere, make sure it is an “Unlisted” video, which will make it only visible to those with the link (attendees)
