Google launches Google for Entrepreneurs

It’s a tough economy; no one can deny that. And because of the current economy, chances are you’ve had to cut back on business expenses and spending in general. Cutting back is necessary for most businesses, but this can obviously limit your productivity and your professional output, which ultimately damages your business. Instead of cutting out expenses, consider replacing those expenses with free or less expensive tools. Google for Entrepreneurs is the perfect solution, no matter your industry.

Google for Entrepreneurs is both a community-based and world-wide outreach for professionals. With countless online resources and listing for local programs, you should be able to find ways to replace expenses with one or many of these free or affordable tools and services that Google offers. Here are just a few ideas:

Work with a Professional Mentor – You can search and interact with mentors from not only in your community, but from across the country and even across the world. Instead of paying for and seeking out a mentor on your own, Google provides ways to find them and speak with them for free on Google+ Hangouts.

Adwords Credit Matching – Google for Entrepreneurs has teamed up with Startup America Partnership, and that means they will offer you $1,000 worth of Adword credits to add on to the $1,000 you’ve already spent. You can double your exposure without even changing what you’re already doing.

Network Online and at Google Events – Networking with other professionals just got easier. Google for Entrepreneurs holds online and offline meetings monthly for all professionals, and there’s special meetups specifically for female entrepreneurs.

Startup Weekends – In cities all across the world, Google for Entrepreneurs will host Startup Weekends that each last 54 hours. This is another great opportunity to network, and it’s an amazing chance to learn more about your industry or how you can improve your business. To register, it generally costs under $100. Startup Weekends is geared toward “developers, designers, marketers, product managers, and startup enthusiasts.” Basically everyone.

The goal is to educate and inform

Google for Entrepreneurs isn’t about creating new tools for entrepreneurs. Its main focus is to educate and inform professionals on how to use the tools already available to them, and that will help you reduce your expenses. Google will continue to form partnerships with companies like Startup America Partnership so that professionals will have even more opportunities to benefit from these events, tools, and relationships.
