
Computers will never be sold in homes
Predictions about technology have a way of coming true or at least some variation of the prediction, but sometimes, predictions are so far off that history makes them a great punchline.
Below is a wonderful look back at predictions that have not only proven untrue but look foolish in hindsight. One of our favorites is IBM President Thomas Watson who said in 1943, “I think there is a world market for maybe five computers.” How unambitious. How ironic. Even toddlers have kiddo computers.
