Confidence rising
Confidence in the commercial real estate market is on the rise according to a quarterly survey from Real Estate Roundtable, featured in the Texas Real Estate Center.
82% of those surveyed opined that commercial real estate market conditions today are better than last year but only 17% “felt conditions were much better,” so there is still a considerable room for improvement in executive confidence in the market.
Of the executives surveyed, 28% believe asset prices are lower today than at this time a year ago, down 29% from the final quarter of 2009, yet 46% see valuations better today than a year ago.
According to RECON, “of the 65 percent who said debt capital is more available today than a year ago, 27 percent characterized availability as ‘much better.’”
