The “i-Diots” short film is four quick minutes that pokes fun at some of the useless apps we pay money for, how reliant we are on our smartphones, and makes us reflect on the fact that in some ways, while technology makes us smarter, it also dumbs us down as we sit in line every year to spend hundreds of dollars on iterations of products we already own.
What is most striking is that the film highlights the robots failing to communicate unless they do so with their smartphones, a sad state of affairs that the video forces us to take a look at.
