Share

It’s true, Samsung has prevealed a new Windows 7 based Tablet Netbook hybrid at this years CES in Las Vegas. The Slider-7 is expected to retail at around $699 and slated to hit the market in March 2011.

The Slider-7 weighs in at 2.18 lbs with a portrait or landscape 10.1″ touch screen display complete with sliding keyboard. Tablet operation with expanded keyboard should boost productivity for those that need a two in one solution. Sleek and modern, the Slider is complete with a webcam, running core home version Windows 7 operating system, a 4-in-one card reader, hdmi port, as well as USB for your extended devices.

The Windows 7 touch screen Slider by Samsung opens up an arena of Windows based touch applications, and comes with several on board at purchase.

Battery life on the Slider is estimated at 9 hours. As an aside, comparatively, we run HP Mini 210-1070NRs and get on average 12-14 hours unplugged without the touchscreen, so 9 hours could be possible in Samsung’s recommended operating mode with the Lithium Polymer battery.
