Get email alerts when Google Maps updates your desired location

Google says my street doesn’t exist!

In the world of new development and ever evolving mapping, Google Maps is not always up to date and it can be extremely frustrating, especially if you have a listing in a subdivision that Google Maps says doesn’t exist!

Enter Google application FollowYourWorld, a web based application that is much like creating a Google Alert any time your chosen map area changes or is updated by Google.

Manage multiple alerts

Users can manage multiple alerts which are sent to your Gmail account. The only glitch is that it does require a Gmail account (if you don’t have one, it is simple to set up a dummy Gmail account and under settings, forward it to your work email).

And voila! Now you know when the maps, satellite or street view is updated to reflect your reality. As the neighborhood expert, this is golden information to have!

    I find that Bing maps are often more updated than Google maps in my area.
