StriveScan is taking college fairs digital

The generation of technology

We’re getting to a point where we have people on this planet who have no idea what it was like before everything was digital. While the bulk of my life has included computers, cell phones, and other constantly evolving technologies, I did not waltz into this world with ingrained knowledge like the people only a few years my junior.

As a result, things that have existed in the paper world will eventually have to transition to digital in order to appeal to their audience. This has recently become true of college fairs.

StriveScan

When one pictures a college fair, they may imagine students walking from table-to-table, grabbing brochures from universities they are interested in. Now, technology has found its place in this universe with StriveScan.

Students are able to sign up and build their profile through StriveFair. After filling out the registration form, a barcode is texted and emailed to their phone.

Instant access to collegiate info

The colleges will also be using the app, and when students visit their table, they are able to scan a student’s barcode in order to send information about the university directly to their smartphone. All of the information gathered from the fair will be sent to the student’s email so that they have easy and immediate access to all of the schools they are interested in.

Currently, StriveScan is only for use in Illinois but has potential to expand. The organizations putting on the fair will pay a per-fair price for the apps use and students will be able to use the service for free.

A bundle of features

Features include: fast student registration, student barcode, availability for both iPhone and Androids, flat pricing, instant exports, ability for note taking, and maximum flexibility. With these features, the barcode can be texted and emailed to the students’ phones.

With the note-taking component, the representatives can write information and contacts in the app, follow up with students, and give ratings. The easy and flat pricing allows for unlimited scans and unlimited representatives.

Strive to save trees

StriveScan eliminates the need for wasting copious amounts of paper and makes information easier to access for students. As a result, it’s not only a win-win for both students and representatives, but it also benefits the environment.
