Fab.com is on fire
It looks like the secret is out and Fab.com is on the verge of hitting 2 million members to the invitation-only flash sale site of daily curated design sales from trendy designers and we will no longer be the only ones finding hot deals on chevron-patterned wool throw pillows or tiny copper octopus earrings.
To mark their two millionth member milestone, the company announced that they are literally going to take over the world, becoming available for Canadians in the coming days, with plans to expand to European nations “very soon.”
The team also announced the roll out of “Shops,” a much easier method for shopping by category, price or color. The addition of Shops is incredibly useful because the nature of the site is to have flash sales that go away after a few days, so unlike traditional shopping sites, a good you like today may not even be on the site tomorrow. It is also helpful as the site has grown in their offering dramatically – digging through items you are not interested in is eliminated, simply visit the Shop you want (like Art, Fashion, or Gadgets).
The final news announced today that everyone will enjoy is that the site is no longer invitation-only, so all web users can hop on and find something trendy to buy at a ridiculously low price. The company has already obtained $48 million in funding which has fueled their growth and rapid expansion. With the end of the recession several years away, the timing for a discount site could not be better.

I've been loving Fab for months but I'm worried that success may spoil what was cool and more subdued flash sale site.
