The breakdown

Every 60 Seconds online, a lot can happen. Because it is a little visually overstimulating at first glance, here are the statistics from the infographic above:

  1. 98,000+ tweets
  2. 320+ new Twitter accounts
  3. 100+ new LinkedIn accounts
  4. 1 new associated content article is published
  5. 6,600+ new pictures uploaded to flickr
  6. 50+ WordPress downloads
  7. 125+ WordPress plugin downloads
  8. 695,000+ Facebook status updates
  9. 1,700+ Firefox downloads
  10. 694,445 Google search queries
  11. 168 million emails are sent
  12. 60+ new blogs
  13. 1,500+ blog posts
  14. 70+ domains registered
  15. 600+ new YouTube videos
  16. 25+ hours total duration of YouTube videos uploaded
  17. 100+ questions asked on Answers.com
  18. 40+ questions asked on Yahoo! Answers

  23. 13,000+ hours of music streaming on Pandora
  24. 12,000+ new ads posted on Craigslist
  25. 370,000+ minutes of voice calls on Skype

It is not surprising how many more Facebook updates occur every minute over Twitter, but it is surprising how big networks like tumblr and Scribd have grown to be. It can be intimidating to anyone new to social networking or blogging as the sheer volume is phenomenally large, but there is still a lot of room for growth, especially in the real estate blogging and social networking arena. For those frequently contributing, it is no surprise that the growth has not his a plateau as we foresee some networks will in coming years as a natural part of any business cycle.

Tell us in the comments which of the statistics surprise you the most and the least!
