Step by Step
Remember the line from Al Pacino’s famous speech from the movie Any Given Sunday? “Your find out that life is just a game of inches.”
Now that famous speech was to pump up his football team but it applies to our lives as well.
Step by Step
Little by Little
Inch by Inch
Mile by Mile
The Market is Tough
It is hard out there in Real Estate land. Getting a buyer to the closing table is hard work, people are afraid, lenders won’t lend, banks take forever to call back, sellers are upside down.
Each day, we get up and we put one foot in front of the other, we go about our day, we meet people, show houses, write contracts, handle banks, and do all things necessary to get out clients to the closing table.
In the middle of the difficult transactional issues we deal with everyday, we are challenged by the tasks of keeping up with all of our blogs and social media sites we try to be faithful and interact on.
Spring Renews
Spring is in the air and just as the ground magically knows to pop the buds on the trees at just the right time, a phone call from someone who says, “I’ve been reading your blog, can you meet with us about selling our house” comes along and refreshes our spirits.
I’ve been reflecting on what Gary Keller said at the “Family Reunion” in February, that the next 120 days would be the most difficult days financially speaking that we will ever have to deal with in our life-times.
Don’t beat yourself up
There is only so much you can do in this market, we can’t control the market, we can only embrace and work in it. I don’t know when this market will end, I’m not going to give you a pep talk and tell you it will be better in the morning. I’m not going to tell you to make “lemonade out of lemons”, or to “follow your plan”.
Darn… sometimes life just isn’t a bowl of cherries.
Keep Moving
Life is a journey, it is as simple as that. We take one step at a time. We put one foot in front of the other and keep on moving inch by inch, step by step.Embracing the journey, “inch by inch, learning’s a cinch, yard by yard, learning’s hard.”
Am I preaching to myself?
I report, you decide.
