Top 50 most expensive cities
Want to know which cities are the world’s most expensive? Four of them are right here in America and two are in Canada while the rest are an ocean away. Mint.com outlines the top 50, many of which are (not surprisingly) more expensive in 2009 than 2008.
From a 2009 study by the UBS, Mint created an interactive map outlining the changing ranks of cities in light of the global economic problems.

California made the list with Los Angeles as the 15th most expensive city in America, but is far outdone by New York City which ranked 6th. Lower on the list (but still on that very list) is Chicago as the 25th and Miami as the 29th most expensive cities in the world. Where does your city rank?
