Realtors on MySpace take note- the Titanic is sinking

Share

MySpace has hit the iceberg and is going down

Rumors were that a financial injection and reorganization had MySpace on an upswing but traffic is showing otherwise as comScore figures show a loss of over 10,000,000 unique visitors between January and February and more than 50,000,000 users over the last year. The drop in traffic seems to be accellerating.

MySpace has been seen in more recent years as a de facto social network focused on music but YouTube, Facebook, Pandora and the like have eaten away at its marketshare.

MySpace CEO Mike Jones told BBC that MySpace is no longer a social network, rather an “entertainment destination.”

Realtors on MySpace

There are still a handful of agents on MySpace and anyone who is garnering leads or simply doing so as a hobby are fine, but anyone thinking of jumping aboard should note that MySpace is the Titanic and we’re in the scene of the movie where she tearfully says “I’ll never let go, Jack, I’ll never let go.” We all know what happened next.
