Website trend – full screen photos
The newest trend in website design that is finally going mainstream is the idea of using full screen photos throughout a website. It is gaining traction because mobile use is skyrocketing and consumers are seeking services and products online that don’t require them to zoom in and out of 10 point font or tiny photos. Opening an iPad and the screen being filled with a large, glossy image is much more pleasing to the eye than lists of tiny links a finger can’t click.
We’ve shown you M Realty’s full page photo site for a property listing and introduced you to the new Jux website platform where all photos, blog posts, videos and lists are full screen no matter what size screen users have.
Which brings us to today – we stumbled across a brokerage website in D.C., Central Properties which features full size images of their offices and with each page load, a new image is served – it gives great insight into the company as it lends tangibility to who they are, even if on a low level. Beyond that, the site is simply beautiful although as with most well designed websites, the IDX design is a decade behind the design of the site.
