Want a job? Craigslist gets even more bizarre
If you’ve ever searched for a job (or a used car, or a rental property), you’ve probably spent enough time on Craigslist to know that while there are some hidden gems, there are also some wackos.
This recently placed CL ad is from a self-proclaimed billionaire seeking an engineer, which has the nerd brigade is noting the references to Tony Stark (see if you can catch them below, and click to enlarge):
So how will this end in jail time?
Most people will think this is a joke (and it probably is), as many Craigslist users aspire to have ads so wild that they are featured on Craigslist’s “Best Of” section and they are awarded 15 milliseconds of “fame” and they can roll around in a bed filled with fake internet dollar bills like a boss.
Maybe I watch too much ID Channel, but I read this ad completely differently… I read it as a guy who is about to have to take a DNA test at the police station for something (I imagine murder), and Googled “how to alter your DNA” or “how to fake a DNA test” and read about CRISPR-Cas9, and ran to Craigslist.
If the nerd brigade is right, this goofball will spend an afternoon laughing at his fame. If I’m right, this guy may be hoping to frame someone else for his crime.
At least the compensation is “competitive.”
