Do You Have a Nose for Marketing?

In my efforts to provide added value to those I work with, I like to come up with rather unusual ways for people to stand out from the crowd.  One obvious way to stand out from the crowd is to see what everyone else is doing in their marketing and then do something else, even do the opposite.

Well, it is time for you to get creative in your marketing.  Just go off the deep end, or rather, let your nose do the work.  That’s right, let your nose lead your next marketing campaign.  Even better, let your prospects nose sell your prospects on your expertise.

By now, you are probably wondering what I have been sniffing that has me this delusional, right?  Want some?

By now you know the power of fresh baked cookies when it comes to open houses, etc.  Surely, you know of some other scents that help sell homes.  Why not put that scent on your marketing material.  Well, there is a company that can help you do exactly that.

Scentisphere.com will print a scent on your advertising piece which, according to their website, will increase your response rates.  The scent can be applied in many different ways including peel off labels which maybe your prospect will use for a while as a car air freshener.  If nothing else, it should help arouse curiosity about your material and invite them to keep reading.

The company carries many scents in stock, even marijuana (no, I haven’t been sniffing that one).  If they do not have the scent you want, such as “new home smell”, you can have your own custom scent made.

So, think about the possibilities of of using scents to enhance your marketing.  Maybe you will even begin to smell the sweet scent of success.  I am working to find the scent of freshly printed money.
