Indiegogo crowdfunding site adds power of Google Analytics

Indiegogo announces new features, including the addition of Google Analytics to boost their crowdsourcing platform.

Indiegogo gives users some firepower

The popular crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo, has announced the addition of many new features to its service. The most exciting of these is the new dashboard that gives campaigners analytics for their campaigns.

Indiegogo announced the new dashboard would give campaigners access to data, including the ability to track which domains are driving campaign traffic, conversion rates, where contributors are based, and who is referring visitors to a particular campaign. It will also depict current trends: hourly, daily, and weekly, allowing you to see what is working and what is not.

Other features launched

There is also an improvement to the “Contributors” tab, allowing you to make fulfillment management easier and more efficient. This tab will provide you with everything you need to track your campaign’s perk fulfillment. You can mark the ones you have fulfilled and filter by perk, shipping country, and fulfillment status.

They have also added a “featured perk” tool, so you can quickly see which perks are working best and choose what to promote, or what needs to be revamped. Up until now, campaigners could only see the amount they had raised, the number of backers they had, and a few figures about the number of shares via social media. And for campaigners looking to get even more from their data, you can now integrate your Indiegogo account with Google Analytics, enabling you to monitor page traffic in real-time.

How to use the new features

If you are ready to try it out, you will need to log in to your Indiegogo account and then click on the banner labeled, “Indiegogo invites you to view our New Campaigner Dashboard.” You will then be redirected to the new dashboard. If you cannot see the banner, you can navigate there on your own. Login to your account, click your name (next to the search bar), and click on “my profile” and then any campaign listing to get to your campaign page. Then click “manage campaign” and “dashboard.” You should then see the invitation to try the new dashboard.

With these newly added features, it is only a matter of time before Kickstarter and others jump on the very overdue analytic bandwagon.
