Google overhauls Docs

google docsToday, Google announced a comprehensive overhaul of Google Docs. The redesign includes more collaborative tools, live edits, and more effective editing capabilities on top of the chat function that already existed.

What all of the coverage of today’s news is missing is that this overhaul means that the goal of Google Wave (real time editing and sharing alongside chat) is now part of Google Docs, making Google Wave less effective and less useful and hopefully spells the end for Google Wave.

  3. I’m not a Realtor, but even if I was, collaborative work is not a trend, it’s a normal part of business now whether amongst clients or coworkers.
