Google’s new financial tool
Google has just announced the new “Google Advisor” tool that offers financial tools similar to the offering at Mint.com that we’ve covered over the years.
Now, at Google Advisor, users can use Google to track, forecast and get advice on their basic finances ranging from checking to mortgages.
Google is the biggest search engine known to man and arguably, one of the starting points of any home buyer’s search for a loan, agent or home. Google notes this is not a search engine, rather a comparison engine that allows users to streamline their search.
Is this another place for websites like Zillow Mortgage Marketplace or MortgageMatch.com to feature their data or is a threat to their core offering?
After watching the video below, tell us in comments what you think of Google’s big play for your consumer’s eyes. Do you want them to help people find better loans or do you think the data is notoriously untrustworthy?
