Twitter released new stats this week noting that a billion tweets are sent each week and that mobile use is up nearly 200% over last year. Twitter has not quite saturated the web the way Facebook has and is mostly run by power users, but is still a prime network for mining clients.
According to Lifehacker, “Coding experiment “Creeper” invaded ARPANET in 1971, and clicking things on the internet has never been the same.” Many of us weren’t even alive yet and most people don’t know that viruses date back this far.
As we mark two major milestones, it is interesting to note how much attention one gets over the other given the ultimate impact on our web lives, no?
