What is Flavors.me?

In early 2010, we introduced you to Flavors.me, a service that allows you to consolidate all of your social networks into one stylish location, like a digital business card.

The company says they are the “easiest and most stylish way to create a unified web presence,” adding that the service “automatically organizes all kinds of information- photos, videos, blog posts, status updates, music listening habits, travel plans, resume details, and more, from more than 30 sources.”

Flavors features a real-time, point-and-click design interface with 17 different layouts, 200+ fonts and no coding required. The Social Streams allow people to follow, aggregate and filter their friends’ social media effortlessly. There is both a free and premium version of Flavors, which is available in eight languages.

In 2010, AGBeat’s COO, Lani Rosales wrote, “My profile is simply a photo of me speaking with a simple font choice, yours could be a photo of your city, you with friends, aligned to the right or left or perhaps a custom image like some of the creative options you see on Twitter wallpapers. I like that Flavors.me is a custom design and my page is unique since there are limitless iterations of what a page could look like whereas my page on card.ly or magntize looks exactly like many other peoples’ site. I use my Flavors.me site as my bio link on Twitter and am considering using it on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. because it is a clean design which keeps with the 2010 webdev trend of single page sites with no fold.”

Your own Flavors.me site

Most people use the free version, which has very few limits, and serves as a great placeholder for pointing your social networks to, and vice versa. Many people use large images of themselves as the background, or textures, geographically relevant images, or inspirational photos, just be sure you own the rights to the image, or it is for public use.
