We introduced you to Realtor ratings site, MountainOfAgents.com in February of 2011, noting one of its major advantages being that the site “solicits ratings based on less subjective set of criteria including marketing expertise, geographical mastery, trust and compassion, active interest, helpfulness, and referrability.” In June of 2011, the company launched in iPhone app, and at the time, we noted that “we suspect that the biggest use for an app like this is consumers physically on the prowl that need an agent to open the door for them or as one of several research methods for selecting a potential listing agent.”
MountainOfAgents.com founder, Michael Becker has told AGBeat exclusively that their newest innovation plays on the astounding rise of web video (in America alone, there were nearly 7 billion web video views just in August 2011). The new member profile enhancement for agents that are signed up on the site integrate video greeting capabilities into the member profiles.
“Now agents can record a short video greeting via their webcam and upload it to their profile. Using video to help consumers ‘virtually’ meet an agent before they reach out will prove to be an indispensible marketing tool,” said Becker. Check out the site and the new video greeting feature by going to MountainOfAgents.com.
Update: the member profiles are now live and you can check out one example here.
