Domain registration
Posterous announced today that they’re offering “dead simple” domain registration for your Posterous blog without having to choose a host, visit GoDaddy or asking your friends how to do it- it requires no tech savvy, simply selecting how many years. One year is $24.99/years, two years is $19.99/year, five years costs $15.99/year and for $10/year you can add additional ID theft protection.
Posterous is one of the simplest free blogging platforms available and we learned this week that ad servers may soon be allowed on your Posterous blog. We’ve recommended Posterous before for single property websites, personal blogs or (like we do) a humor blog to blow off steam.
It’s a good idea to have your own domain for a site you don’t own, because honestly, it’s quite passé to have a URL like https://joesrealestateblog.blogspot.com or https://joesrealtynews.posterous.com rather than https://realestatejoe.com, plus it fits better in your print marketing and email signatures.
