Social media class of 2011

In February 2011, Flowtown created an infographic asking “what if social media were a high school?” Since the launch of the entertaining infographic, social media has changed with the new social media darling Google+ hitting the scene.

ClassFinders.com has created a new class of 2011, naming Google+ the new hot chick that moved to school, but drives home the point that it has a long way to go before it catches up to Facebook’s size and activity levels.

We would have liked to have seen the addition of either Turntable.fm or Spotify, but this paints a broad picture of the big players:
