In the never ending quest to be emancipated from Outlook and in an effort to move to the cloud, we continue to seek out ways to make Gmail more simple and useful. Today, Google announced some changes that will please those of you who still are impressed with Outlook.
Gmail is now fully drag and drop capable. Recently, Google announced that you can drag files from your desktop and drop them into a gmail message rather than the old fashioned way of clicking “attach file” then “browse” then selecting the file.
You can also embed images directly into an email through Gmail and today, the news is that Gmail attachments can be dragged from your email and dropped on to your desktop.
Gmail is what I like to call fully draggy and droppy and while it may seem trivial to you, if you’re a heavy email user like I am (average 150 sent and 300 non spam received daily), any step like this to save time is highly welcomed.
What could Gmail do that would convince you to switch from Outlook or your current email service? Tell us in comments what you think.
