One standout feature is that posts can be voted up and down by users as opposed to a series of affirmative thumbs up. This helps the system learn the relevancy of users’ updates and seeks to reduce spam, a common problem in any social network. Additionally, the idea of building reputation is envisioned differently in that it is based on “quality content, activity and followers, versus soliciting endorsements and gathering contacts.”
