A common question
We introduced you to the Amazon Kindle in September and noted that with the $199 price sticker, it may not be an iPad killer, but it certainly is a legitimate contender. The way we know that we are right is that the most common tech question we get on Facebook or over email is how people should choose between the Kindle Fire and the iPad 2. There are two die hard fan camps between Android users and Mac users and although it has been shown that Android users are more likely to be bitechtual (own Android and Mac products), that trend is shifting as products like the Kindle Fire hit the market.
The brief answer: if you want a small tablet you can fit in your coat pocket or carry around as a bridge between your smartphone and computer, and don’t need much outside of web browsing (which is unique on the Fire), the Kindle Fire is often favored, but if you want to compute like a real computer and need to run your entire business from a tablet including taking pictures (the Fire has no camera), the iPad 2 is favorable.
