Celebrating the lives of Veterans
For people who have experienced loss, the holidays can be a difficult time, but Worcester Wreath founder, Morrill Worcester has spent nearly 12 years paying for his company’s overstock of wreaths to be delivered to graves at the Arlington National Cemetery which has grown to their providing wreaths for nearly 400 state, national and local cemeteries and monuments across America and 24 Veteran cemeteries abroad. The “Wreath’s Across America” program has a simple mission: “to Remember the fallen; Honor those who serve; and Teach the children the value of freedom.”
In addition to “Wreaths Across America,” Worcester Wreath Company also founded “Patriotic Pair” which is like the Toms Shoes program – buy two wreaths for $30.00 and one is sent to the address of your choice and the second will decorate a Veteran’s grave, with $5.00 of the purchase going toward Wreaths Across America.
In an interview with Chris Wallace of Fox News, Worcester shares his goal of placing wreaths on all 2.7 million Veteran graves and drives home his sentiment that each headstone is more than a grave, it is literally a person in that spot:
