This virtual series reveals the past failures of successful entrepreneurs to help others avoid making the same mistakes.

If you're an entrepreneur who has failed bigly and learned the hard way before nailing it - we need your help!

We're looking for speakers to host online sessions with the goal of helping business owners get past the learning curve, gain insight on lessons learned, and access insider tips to run a booming business.

Taking the wrong business path
Ineffective business planning
How bad timing affected your company
Choosing the wrong partner(s)
Funding/financial hurdles

Ineffective marketing strategy

Lack of planning (short-term and/or long-term)

Session Info

MAIN EVENT

The main portion of the event is NOT live.

We’re seeking speakers to record a ‘fireside chat style,’ 15 minute video session on the approved topic of your choosing.

You’ll have your own session page with your bio, headshot, session title and description, video, and links to connect with you.

LIVE Q+A

However, we will be including a live Q+A portion with attendees before and after the main event. This is optional and you can opt in/out of participating in this.

If you would like to participate, please indicate this in the Speaker Application form at the end of this page.

ATTENDEE ACCESS

Attendees will be required to log in to access the videos. They will be able watch sessions at their convenience for a limited amount of time.

Proposal Criteria

SPEAKERS ARE REQUIRED TO:

Present useful and practical information on one large business failure/lesson.
Focus on using this formula to share your story:
I failed in this area ______ because ______, but I ended up nailing it by doing ______. Here are my suggestions for you: ______.
Offer key takeaways for how the strategies can be replicated and utilized.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:

As this series is created to help the community, we ask that you avoid personal sales language or branding and focus on the above.
All content must be "exclusive" to this series, meaning that the video hasn't appeared elsewhere and is dedicated specifically to this event.
Currently, speakers are volunteers. However, your bio, headshot, contact info, and sales link of your choice will be posted prominently on our website and your session page. You'll also be helping tons of business owners AND will have our eternal gratitude (seriously).

Timeline + Next Steps

NOVEMBER 23, 2020

Submit speaker submission form (below) with proposed session materials

WEEK OF DECEMBER 1, 2020

Accepted speakers will receive an email confirmation with more information

and a Speaker Agreement to sign

DECEMBER 7, 2020

Signed Speaker Agreement due

DECEMBER 15, 2020

All accepted speakers submit their video for review.

This is also the last date to submit any remaining session materials for review.

JANUARY 14-15, 2021
