DRAFT takes they mystery out of investing

Austin is kind of a big deal right now. The innovative technology coming out of the area is receiving a lot of praise. Austin’s new investment application startup company, DRAFT, is no exception.

In an industry that is quite a mystery to many, DRAFT has taken it upon themselves to reveal these intricacies. Jason St. Peter and Brad Lawler, Austin locals and DRAFT founders, have teamed up to build an online investment portfolio management tool that will allow people to learn from each other. They want to help you make an educated decision when determining your investment goals.

“The investment industry is broken”

Jason St. Peter, DRAFT CEO explains in a statement, “The investment industry is broken and we all know it. This mobile app, DRAFT, will put knowledge and insight back into the hands of the investor, and with knowledge comes the power to fix what is broken.”

DRAFT is particularly interested in exposing the high fees you are paying compared to others in your community, so you can make an informed decision on just how much these fees are eating up your return. That way you know you aren’t getting ripped off. They suggest taking the money you’re paying in arbitrary fees and investing it.

Perfect for professionals and laypeople

The app takes crowdsourced data and sheds light on how you measure up compared to others in your community with regards to asset allocation and more. It will also use this crowd sourced data to identify beneficial investment opportunities.

The app will be valuable for professionals in the industry as well as the average person looking for tips to manage their own investments or to gain some understanding before going in to discuss their portfolio with their investor. They’re already making strides, even making it into the 2015 SXSW Interactive Startup Spotlight last month.

DRAFT will soon be rolled out to everyone, but they currently have a waitlist for those wanting to be first in line to experience DRAFT while they’re still in beta.

If you still have not been able to join.. All you need to do is go to draftapp.com and enter a valid email into the white box saying "your email," then you click the gray box that says "join wait list." You should then receive an email which you must confirm to officially join the beta wait-list.

I hope this has helped. If you have anymore issues please shoot me an email at kacy@draftapp.com and I'll be glad to sort it out.

I signed up for this a few days ago and am still on the waiting list. Really interested to see if it lives up to its potential.
