New Updates to Google Plus Hangouts
Google+ has announced several updates to its popular Hangouts service, making networking and conferencing even easier than before. One of the new features is the ability to rewind a live broadcast, so now, no matter when someone starts watching the broadcast, they can go back to the beginning and watch the entire video again. This is a great feature to have because let’s face it, someone always comes in to the meeting late.
Additionally, you can access your recordings immediately after your broadcast. You no longer have to wait for the video to be processed. As soon as you are no longer “On Air,” the video will be on YouTube waiting. So, if you or your client wants to review something on the video, it can be done immediately, saving time, money, and frustration by making the information you need available immediately.
Mobile updates now live as well
Speaking of On Air, another great update is for mobile device users. You will notice a new high quality, better-looking video. And finally, when you visit a page On Air, whether it is through YouTube or Events, the video will begin to play immediately.
You no longer have to sit around and keep refreshing the page. And this means less time wasted and more attention paid to the video rather than fiddling with the technology trying to get it to work.
What do these updates mean for you?
Well, it means that you can discuss potential projects with prospective clients, face-to-face, effectively eliminating the sales call. You can gauge their reactions to your sales pitch much better when you can see their face. It also means that you can record and share meetings, which save you the time and trouble of having someone minute the meetings.
Additionally, you can expand your business with clients that you would not normally be able to meet face-to-face. You can network through Google Plus Hangouts and increase your clientele without spending money on long-distance phone calls.
Does all of this sound a bit overwhelming?
It can be overwhelming keeping up with technology, but there is a place you can go on Google+ to practice these features before you “go live,” and that is GPHangouts.com, where you can simply look for a hangout category.
Once you have found a category that interests you, such as business, entertainment, etc., you can connect with someone else already in a Hangout and practice using the features of G+ Hangouts. After a few times, you will be confident in your ability to use this technology to its fullest and start networking with similar minded people, as well as using it to conference with your employees and your clients.
Practice and new features help to save you time and increase productivity by streamlining conference calls, meetings, and training into one place: Google+ Hangouts.
