ReTechSouth is this Friday, March 20th in Atlanta, Georgia. By now you either know about it and are coming or it didn’t quite make your schedule this year.
Social Media in Action
I have been to a lot of conferences this year, NAR, Inman, Keller Williams. I have to say ReTechSouth the best organized conference I have ever planned on attending.
Brad Nix from MaxSells Realty in Atlanta and a contributor on Agent Genius and Matt Fagioli from Diamond Dwellings in Atlanta have raised the bar on using Social Media to promote and stay in touch with all the attendees.
• Every attendee can set up a profile page and submit you want to meet someone, you are their friend, or you are a fan.
• The conference is updated on Facebook regularly
• You can schedule your sessions on line and print it out to bring with you. Saves paper, and lets you plan what you really want to learn about.
• Set up a photo stream on Flickr. You can email photos from your phone at sit62idea@photos.flickr.com.
• Follow along on Twitter.
• Set up a hashtag #rets09 on Twitter
• Promoted through video
The Conversation Begins
ReTechSouth was started “to promote a conversation about the technological changes impacting the real estate industry. The goal was to bring together in one room some of the best minds in the industry to share their knowledge”.
Brad and Matt have raised the bar, for organizing conferences. (I heard it was sold out.) With the conference organizers using Social Media to the max, is there any question that they are putting the best practices in social media into action to get proven results?
Any conference built with the attendees in mind can’t help but be as good as it is being promoted to be.
My schedule is planned and I can’t wait to see everyone in Atlanta.

Hi Missy,
It sounds great, but I just returned a week ago from the RE/MAX Conference in Vegas. And having attended 5 or 6 conferences in 2008, and planning to go to SF Connect this Summer, my schedule’s pretty full. Plus, I’ve got to manage all my current business (some of which has come as a result of things I’ve learned at conferences).
It does sound like ReTechSouth’s got their stuff together!

Missy:
Thanks for the kind words, but the main reason REtechSouth is gonna rock is because of the content and quality speakers like yourself. Be sure to check out Missy share her knowledge about Building Your Community, One Blog Post at a Time: https://www.retechsouth.crowdvine.com/talks/show/3703
p.s. the “official hashtag” is #RETS

I am so looking forward to RETechSouth – loved how Brad and Matt have put things together and can’t wait to see everyone.
Just took a look at the schedule, and there’s something in there for everyone….even the more advanced RE Geeks (and the highlight will be moderating 6 power houses: you, @housechick, @tboard, @gingerw, @hthrflyn and @jimduncan) 😉

Breaking news on Twitter this afternoon is that they have opened up 50 more seats…so it is still not to late to attend!

Brian, I hear ya… on the number I have attended this year. This one is just so well organized they raised the bar.
Brad is there two hashtags? Thanks for that one. I only found the 09 thing.
Ines, can’t wait to see you either, the emails yesterday were crackin’ me up.
Michelle, ohhh I hadn’t heard that, Thanks for the update. See ya soon.
