It would appear that Apple has entered the automobile industry with the release of the Nano. Ok, it isn’t Apple that developed the Nano, but it may be where the developer got the idea, a small enough car that can fit in your pocket.
Take a look at this car. It is the cheapest, smallest with 4 wheels and is sleek, just like Apple’s Nano. The car is actually developed by Tata Motor and its impact is being compared with the Model T.
Unlike Apple’s Nano, there is no way to play music in the basic model as it doesn’t even include a radio. It also leaves out the air conditioner, passenger side mirror, power steering, and only has one windshield wiper. Tata has not specified how much it will cost to add those features, nor how much of an effect the added weight of the extra features will impact the car’s performance.

If adding a radio and AC is going to impact the cars performance… not for me sorry.

They have special cooling diapers like the ones they use on the space shuttle as an upgrade, and they suggest you actually use the nano as your bumpin system…

On the one hand that car is kind of cool. I hate my gas bills being a realtor. But if you got in a car accident in that thing. I dont think it would be pretty.

Late night- spoken like a true Austinite who has driven here in the rain and watched the masses forget how to drive.

This auto company is based in India and is covered prominently in The World is Flat. It is a car born out of necessity, as the vast majority of Indians cannot afford a car made in the far east or the western world. Tata has been selling cars in India for years, and it won’t be long before they’re selling a $5000 car in the U.S. Customer service and computer programming are far from the only things that can be cheaply outsourced to India.
