Do you see it?
Sometimes there is a reason for a home to have extremely overgrown shrubs in the front and back yard to shield the view from their neighbors, especially those who are skilled at spotting the smell of marijuana. Redfin agent Greg Whelan spotted a short sale listing in San Diego and without saying a word, we saw the same standout items in the listing, let’s see if you can catch them as we play Spot the Pot!
You’re right, there’s no pot in this picture, just a safe place for smoking. But keep your eyes peeled…
Do you see it? It may not be what we think it is, but there is a cobalt blue glass figure on the table that looks eerily like a bong…
Whelan jests, “What appears to be trees hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom…home staging by @qwickster?” Sure enough, there it is, right from the ceiling – could that be mary jane? If you saw it, you’ve gotten a point in the Spot the Pot game!
It’s not just in the master bedroom, do you see what we do in this guest bedroom? Is that actually a scale commonly used for weighing marijuana? Surely not… but wait, there are tiny green leaf remnants on the scale, so it’s not a food scale in a bedroom, is it? Hmm…
It’s just San Diego
Some might dismiss this as just a San Diego thing, but this listing was photographed by a naive or blind agent or photographer, or someone who was in a hurry to get in and get out. This could all be coincidence and it could be herbs and spices, or it’s probably harmless medical marijuana, who knows?
How well did you do in the Spot the Pot game?

Hilarious! We don't play that game in Nashville, but we do play a similar game with guitars.

Funny. One time the home inspector found a huge bag of pot hidden in the fireplace chimney. Could have made the whole neighborhood high if it caught fire.

I don't think the photographer was naive or dumb. Actually it was quite genius. I bet the offers were rolling in….lmao

Now that's funny right there! Brings new meaning to the term "high price."
